Morrish and Partners, founded in London in 1966, quickly gained a reputation for sound engineering, good building design and attention to detail. In 1970, Bill Morrish and Bill Knight opened an office in Bury St Edmunds, as East Anglia had significant development opportunities. We continue to occupy an office in the town centre, today run by Robert Price and Jon Parker with a team of staff experienced in all disciplines.
In 1969, Jim Berry joined the practice, and in 1974 became a Partner.
At this time the Practice was working with a number of prestigious clients, many of whom, we are still working with today.
In 1996, Bill Morrish retired and Jim Berry became Senior Partner, our workload continued to expand.
In 1999 we re-branded our company’s image and reviewed our marketing strategy to reflect the Company’s progressive intent.
In 2002 we re- located our London office to Welwyn Garden City which offers a superb location to enable us to serve the needs of our Clients, whilst ensuring that our valuable staff are in an environment that ensures that they remain fully motivated. Our offices are networked and we utilise web-based document issue and review techniques where possible. AutoCAD is used as a matter of course and various 3D analysis packages are available and used depending on the project needs - to assist us with our Project Management and Engineering service. We also understand the importance of keeping our staff up-to-date with new technology, industry standards and human resource matters via ongoing training programmes.
At the end of 2010 Jim handed over his responsibilities as MD to Jon Parker in Bury, but he remains a consultant to the business, so we are still able to call upon his extensive knowledge and experience. Phil Horne has taken over the role of principal partner in Welwyn and has the day to day responsibility for the office.
